My favourite shoes
My favourite shoes are pumas I like pumas because they have a nice style and I like the colours purple, black and white. I wish that my mum would get me some for Christmas. I really want them because I like pumas and they are my favourite brand. If I get I would wear them every single day even in my bed.
Swimming
When I first put on my damp life-jacket on it was cold and wet. Then I walked up the stairs and hopped in the pool it was cold and freezing. I dunked my head under the water it felt nice. Then we were singing the National Anthem. I was spinning around in circles in the pool. When we finished putting my face under the water my lips were cold and almost turned purple.
Chris is a man who has come to teach as about water safety. He is from Water safety NZ and is going to stay here for the rest of the year.
As I first hopped in the pool Chris said “It is warm.” But it wasn't warm it was cold.

Net books
Net books
On Tuesday the year7’s got their net books. They must be really excited about getting their new net books. The net books are really cool because they can take them home and do their own work on it and have their own privacy at home. When you do blogging a net book each and do our own work as well. The best thing I really want to do is chat to my friends and do blogging. We don’t get any stationery which is really cool and fun for kids.

Immersion Asmmebly
When I walked into the hall I saw teachers dressed up as bugs. The costumes were cool and funny, there were bees, snails, worms, butterflies, ants, ladybugs, mosquitoes and spiders. We were learning about ‘’Litte Critters’’ I was excited.
Suddenly Mr Burt was chasing after Mr J,who was a moth. Mr Burt was a mosquito. After that team 1 went on the stage. They did Incy Wicy spider and little Miss Muffett. Next it was team 2 they showed the butterfly life cycle on a movie. My favourite show was team 4 they were bees they were sweeping and feeding the queen. The queen was having baby’s and the bees were still working hard the show was cool.

Maritime Museum
During our trip Salty Sam took us around to see different types of boats.Salty Sam took us to see the cups and told us how Peter Blake died. Salty Sam showed us the cabin where the early
immigrants slept. He took us to see the old kitchen there was old food on the shelves.
Then he showed us the Black magic it was so big. My favourite part was when Salty Sam showed me the Black magic.
Next Sheryl took us around the museum. Fist she took us for a gallery walk. Sheryl showed us the European and Maori things as we were walking past. Then we went to go and watch a movie.
It was about the Maoris coming from the Cook Islands to New Zealand in their waka. After that
Sheryl told us to go and find a boat that comes from our culture. She taught us how to make crosses. Sheryl showed us some coconuts and some of them were cracked. The Polynesians made string out of coconut fibre.
After that room 15 went on the Devonport Ferry. When we went on we went up stairs where we went out side and the wind was blowing me. I saw the old Ferry building it was big. When we were going fast I went in side to have a rest. Then we were at Devonport. After we had left Devonport I saw the sky tower and the habourbridge. The tried to blow me over.

Cross country day.
On Wednesday the whole school ran for cross country day. I was cold and my heart was racing. I lined up and I heard the clapper “Bang!” Everyone sprinted off running in a bunch. People were cheering as we ran.
I jogged all the way down to the reserve. I got tired. I kept stopping, I was puffing and panting.
The mud felt like mashed potatoes it was yuck. But I kept going .After that I ran all the way up to the playground and I came 7th I was happy.

On the first day of school we had an Immersion Assembly. When I walked in the door all of the teachers had costumes on There were pirates and sailors. When I sat down Mr Burt started to talk about when he went to America.
The team I liked the best was team 3. They showed a Muppet movie about a pirate battle and they gave out chocolate money it was cool but I did not get one.
After team 3 there were some more teams like Polynesian voyager, Vikings and some more pirates but team3 were the best. The Immersion Assembly was cool.
